Our Damascus steel is created by heating a mixture of 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon. This mixture is folded repeatedly to create layers, resulting in a distinctive pattern. After folding, the blade is burned in acid, which turns the nickel satin color and the high carbon blackish-gray, revealing the layers.

We then polish the handles and sharpen the blade, buffing off the acid-burned layer from the handle and leaving a satin finish.
