Custom Watch Interstellar, The Endurance, 39mm NH38, Lasered Brass Dial

To celebrate the anniversary of Nolan's masterpiece I wanted to combined my three most active interests; watchmodding, lasering, and Interstellar. For the Dial, I designed it in Lightburn. We all know the Endurance was designed around a clock. For the 12,3,6, and 9 markers I decided to incorporate a little Morse Code from the movie.For the 4 and 8 Roman Numerals, instead of using the dreaded four digit markers (IIII and XIII, so unbalanced) I had to bring in everyone's favorite character (sorry CASE). I did include the middle minute markers surrounding the endurance, and the edge of each large rectangle is the first and last minute of a five minute period. I decided to engrave the casebacks as well with the classic start to Dylan Thomas's most famous poem and Professor Brand's personal mantra. The watch is powered by the classic NH38 automatic movement, and the dial is an enlarged 35mm (standard size is 28.5) to incorporate the gorgeous Presage style dress case.
