The all NEW NGR Dual Lug Nuts are a new series of lug nuts NGR Performance has designed. They are NOT an all Aluminum Lug Nut that competitors use and break over time.
The NGR Dual Lug Nuts are a 2 piece design, designed for all enthusiasts from DRAG to STREET. The Primary piece is made of Stainless Steel, this piece installs on the stud and has slots for the key to remove and install the primary lug nut. Stainless Steel is very strong and heavy, which is why we use this as the Primary piece for security and safety in mind. The Secondary piece is made of Aircraft Grade 6061-T6 Aluminum. Most competitors advertise 7075 Aluminum, but beware of those advertising 7075 Aluminum, we have tested several lug nuts claiming to be 7075 aluminum and are really 6061!
7075 is very expensive to manufacture, which is why we use Stainless Steel, which is stronger and will not fail. The Secondary piece is true 6061-T6, which uses no torque and cannot break as the real pressure is in the Primary piece. Adapters to the Secondary Piece will be coming out soon, such as Spike Design, plus new designs we are manufacturing and testing. These are the base lug nuts needed for the future adapters.
